In 19th century Rich people in New Orleans used to ride in floats and throw money and jewels to the poor people. Today hundreds of crews led by a King and queen ride on several dozens of floats and parade the streets. And the crew used to throw toy and jewels to the spectators in resemblance to their tradition.
5)Carnival of Nice ( France)

This carnival is meant to celebrate the visiting of the spring by the citizens of Nice. The Noble ladies holding Mimosa flowers is top of the parade followed by musical bands playing theme music of the years carnival. A big float with Winter king in it goes through the streets while spectators throw ticker tapes with the yells and then the king is burned at the beach.
6) Winter Carnival ( Quebec, Canada )

This is a three day carnival where citizens of Koln disguise and go out to see the parade. The house ladies adore their lips with red lipsticks and provoke the men in the parade. Everywhere you see children blowing soap bubbles, young couples kissing, people singing songs and much more.

This carnival seems to bit weird but its one among the most famous carnival of the world. Every year local masked men known as "Gilles" go around the street not to entertain but to create chaos, shaking some sticks to scare the bad spirits off. And they love throwing apples to the crowd so watch out.
Spain hosts some of the coolest carnivals in the world and like the one in Tenerife ,Gran Canaria Carnival also have great highlights. Election of the carnival queen and drag queen holds the main event while the street musicians and flashy costumed dancers fill the streets with rhythm and Glamour.
