Notorious Criminals, Thugs, Rapist, Serial Killers and many merciless criminals are housed in several prisons around the world. But intense criminals need high security and normal prisons cannot hold such high profile criminals. Thankfully there are some highly secured and probably brutal prisons around the world who keep us away from these thugs ensuring our protection. 

I have managed to make a list of seven highly secured prisons around the world.

10) Camp Delta, United States

Camp Delta

Camp Delta Prison is located in the Guantanamo Bay in Cuba but it officially belongs to United States. This prison once held the terrorists of Al Aaeda. Tortures are also said ti be performed regularly in the past but it was eliminated totally by now. If a prison tries to escape this facility he would land himself into an American Military base and i believe no one is dumb to do try such a thing.

9) HMS Belmarsh, UK

'Her Majesties' (HMS) Belmarsh is a men's prison located in the Greenwich, south east London. The population of this facility is around 1,000 and also known to house Britain's Notorious Criminals for the past two decades. Also this prison is also criticised for using extremely high amount of force to control inmates population.

8)Le Sante, France

Le Sante Prison lies in the east of the Montparnasse district in Paris. It was claimed to be one of the inescapable prison in the world, with gigantic fort look. Several years ago when a group of prisoners tried to make a run from this prison and ended up in death by getting trapped in a tunnel.

7) Arthur Road, India

Located in the City of Mumbai in India, this facility used to house terrorist and other high profile criminals of India. The cells of this prison is built sturdily to withstand any kind of attack from outside as well as from inside. No one has ever escaped from this Prison and undoubtedly one of highly secured prison in the world. 

6) Fuchu Prison, Japan

This Maximum security prison is located 3,000 feet above the sea level and considered as most secured prison in china. 5000 security personal were employed to ensure that the prisoner is kept locked all the times. A deep and desolate valley awaits outside the facility to torment those who attempt to escape from this prison.

3) Tadmor Military Prison , Syria

This facility has no ground access gate to the outside world in the surface. The only access to the facility is through an Underground tunnel and one has to crawl through that to get in or out. Laser beams are equipped to guard any unauthorized entry through that tunnel. The conditions are inhumane here with prisoners getting beaten up with metal rods and also merciless executions are done here. 

2) Alcatraz Federal Pententiary, United States

This prison is situated in a single piece of Island named as Alcatraz and this prison housed America's most notorious criminals and political leaders for 30 years before being closed in 1963. If a prisoner tries to make a run he must swim 1.5 miles to the nearest mainland shore. There were totally 14 escape attempts from this prison by 36 prisoners while most of them were killed or recaptured but five were unaccounted and presumed to have died by drowning. The events happened in this jail have also gave raise to a movie "Escape from Alcatraz".

ADX Florence

This prison carries the status of 'Super maximum security prison' and also called as the Alcatraz of the Rockies. There are six levels of security within this ADX Florence, all of them are severe and keep most inmates separately most of the times. Reinforced security with latest surveillance technology and no direct access is provided to the cells.
